dear dota fans

In light of recent travel restrictions and the evolving COVID-19 situation, we are postponing ESL One Los Angeles 2020. While we were all very excited to bring the first-ever Dota 2 Major to Los Angeles, the safety and well-being of our players, attendees, coaches, talent, partners and ESL crew come first. We are working closely with VALVE to determine a new time and location for the Major. We are deeply disappointed but believe this outcome is in the best interest of all of the people who make these incredible events possible.

We are currently working with the venue and ticketing provider to refund tickets as soon as possible. If you purchased a ticket, you should be receiving email communication in the coming days. We are deeply saddened that we won’t be able to bring you the event you deserved.

Please stay tuned for more details coming soon.

We are so sorry.

Global Health Situation

Is ESL One Los Angeles 2020 happening?
Yes. The ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Major will happen at Shrine Auditorium and will be open to the public. We are constantly monitoring the health situation and will inform all ticket holders in case there is a change in plan.
What health precautions will you take on-site?
We are in close contact with the local authorities. Additional health and safety measures are put in motion to ensure the well-being of everyone planning to attend our event. There will be trained medical staff on-site and we will further upgrade the already high hygiene standards of the venue.
Can they shut down the event like IEM Katowice 2020?
We do not anticipate any external authorities requiring us to close the event to fans. The venue is a private space not subject to public large gathering permits like in Katowice, but we will work closely with AEG and the venue operator and local health authorities to monitor the situation and adjust our plans if necessary. Different regions are subject to different dynamics and risk scenarios, there is no indication to date the event will be closed to the public.
