ESL One Katowice 2019 Closed Qualifier kicks off on December 8

Having announced all eight direct invites for ESL One Katowice 2019, the attention now turns to our closed qualifier, where four more teams will be able to play their way into the tournament.

Format:

All qualifiers will consist of four teams in a bo3 double elimination bracket and culminate in a bo5 Grand Final, the winner of which will represent their region at ESL One Katowice 2019. Teams who reach the Grand Final through the upper bracket will enter the deciding series with a 1-0 advantage.

Regions:

Each regional qualifier will consist of two invited teams and two teams who earned their spot through the open qualifier. These teams are:

EU: Gambit Esports (invited), Vega Squadron (invited), Team Empire (open qualifier) and Team Spirit (open qualifier).

China: RNG (invited), EHOME (invited), For The Dream (open qualifier), Team Root (open qualifier).

SEA: Lotac (invited), TNC Predator (invited), Admiral (open qualifier), Yoshimoto Detonator (open qualifier).

NA: test 123 (invited), J.Storm (invited), compLexity (open qualifier), Team Team (open qualifier).
