The ESL One Genting qualifier dates and format
Check out how to qualify for ESL One Genting.

It’s time to unveil our first ESL One Genting regional qualifiers! One week from now, on October 21st and 22nd, any team in the Americas, Europe and Southeast Asia can take part in our open qualifiers. This will allow them to qualify for the regional main qualifiers where they will face some of Dota 2’s well known tier one teams. Players and teams from Malaysia and China, fear not - the regional qualifiers for those regions will be announced at a later date.

Up to 512 teams can participate in each regional open qualifier, which will be played out in a single elimination bracket. Up until the round-of-16 teams will face off in a Bo1 and from the quarter finals onwards, the series will be upgraded to Bo3. At the end, four teams per open qualifier will advance to the main qualifier. You can watch all the open qualifier action on joinDOTA’s dedicated streams - twitch.tv/esl_joindotared and twitch.tv/esl_joindotablue.
