EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ESL ONE BIRMINGHAM 2018!*
So wait, what even is ESL One Birmingham 2018?
ESL One Birmingham 2018 is the UK’s first ever Dota 2 Major! On May 25- 27 thousands of fans from all over the world will unite to watch the best Dota teams play live in Birmingham arena with $1,000,000 and eternal glory on the line. Sound pretty cool, right?
Yeah, it does! Is there a minimum age requirement to be able to attend?
Children aged 14 or under should be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.
Okay no problem, do tickets have fixed seating?
Nope, you may choose any seat you want as long as it’s in your ticket level!
Got it! Anything else I should know?
The arena doesn’t allow big bags inside the venue that exceed A3 format (42cm x 30cm x 15cm) and all bags need to be searched at the entrance, which could cause delays getting people into the Arena. And please also note that only point and shoot, or action cameras can be brought into the arena. Cameras with interchangeable lenses and DSLR cameras are not permitted as well as food items and drinks from outside.
But what am I going to eat and drink?
Don’t worry, the arena offers a large selection of food and drink available within the venue and you can even take your meal directly to your seat. From soft drinks, wines, beers to fish & chips, burgers, pizza, kebab wraps, sandwiches, sweets, Ice-cream and more, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! Alternatively, you can also exit the arena and have your lunch or dinner outside the stadium and then re-enter.
Oh, so I can leave and re-enter the arena? Awesome!
Yup, once you have a wristband, you can leave and re-enter as many times as you want. Last re-entry is during the last match of the day though, so make sure to come back. =)
And what about those with special needs? Is there a designated entrance or seating area?
Yes, we have a designated entrance and seating area for guests with special needs.
Okay, cool! Can I bring my camera to take photos during the Event?
I understand the desire to take a few snapshots during the event but professional type cameras (DSLR) are a no-no unless you are an officially accredited photographer. Taking photos with your smartphone are allowed of course!
Oh, before I forget, which payment types are accepted at the Arena?
The Arena went cashless a while ago. Cashless simply means just that – paying by card or contactless only but you can still pay by cash on merch and on parking!
